A joint effort by Subhadip, Xiuhua and me on 26th July from 12:30pm to 6pm.
We met at Rawlings hall lobby. Canvas and all of the drawing/painting equipments
were provided by them. Apart from the wall paint we used soft pastels (which finally rescued us). We started with basic sketches(human figures/guitars/tree) which we completed within an hour. Then mixing and first coating of color took another 3 hours. Finally the finishing part took another 2 hours.
I think those were wall colors. They got dried very quickly. We had really tough time to mix them on canvas.
There were at least 12 other participants. All of the students were really enthusiastic.
We enjoyed the free lunch there also. First time I used chisel for lot of places in a painting.
It was really an exciting and wonderful experience for all of us. We learned
few important lessons from it, specially when it comes to paint a giant canvas like this (5'X5')
and finally our joint effort paid off :-). You guyz know how :-)
